So I'm working on something and this random banquet chef comes up to me and asks where I'm from? I responded Texas... Dallas, Texas. He said, "Dallas! You know J.R.?!?" I looked at him confused.... He starts singing, and then the entire kitchen joins in "Na, na na na na na naaaaaa!" the theme song to Dallas, the TV show from the 80's! Absolutely hilarious!!!! They all start laughing, but they funniest thing about the whole event to me was, is that I've never seen the show!!!!! Hahahahah, it was great!
Also, they use gin or vodka to polish thier plates. Fuckin genius!!!! Alcohol evaporates extremely fast, and will not leave streaks. I thought that was really cool. Every kitchen I've been in does this.
Random but wanted to write down before I forget....
