July 3rd

I survived my first night at the hostel... Had a cool roomate, from Munich, that I swear is related to Blake Schwalls. He liked to talk!!!!

Doing laundry was an experience, but not that bad. If ya can get past the fact your washing your clothes in a machine used by who knows how many people, at least you can do it all at once! Cost me about 10 euros total, I expected worse...

Wandered around a bit today, got some pics back down by Notre Dame. Line was even longer today, lol! Had a panini today for lunch, now that was the best ham and cheese I've ever had!!!!! Also, they have these Fruit de Mer (fruit o the sea) markets everywhere. The seafood looks amazing, but I'm too cheap to sit down and try... Maybe later this week with the rents and the Canadians.

New roommate is from Melbourne, Australia, seems like everyone I meet is. I dont like the livin conditions, but I love meetin new people, so I'm gonna try to book some hostels in Spain for sure. We are going to dinner with his friends tonight, they wanna try escargot and frog legs...Sounds perfect! They are here on some tour called ?Katiki? It sounds like a European vacation they take as a group, that cost like $17,000 euros!!!! Holy !*%?! I'm doin it much less.... But I guess I'm only going a few place so...

Came down to a pub for a beer before dinner, and just met the coolest MF'er ever named Cypress! He speaks english, which is nice, and has been to Dallas. We've been talking for awhile now, he has introduced me to a bunch of locals. Although I'm sure a lot of their laughs are at me, I'm having a blast "shootin the shit" (they like that) with these crazy French folks. He works down the street at another Irish pub and has promised I will have a great night, so I will be there later. Let's hope not too much, I do have to work tomorrow:-)
The Australian group will be down there also, so I'm sure tonight will be interesting...

At dinner, really nice people... Having bottle of Bordeaux, and they are having real French food for the first time. Coq au Vin, Duck Confit, Escargot, and Foie Gras... They think I should be a tour guide since I know all about the cuisine, lol! What an experience, truely the best night yet!

Damn, they love them some American music here!!!
