Walked thru this amazing open air market today off Las Ramblas. Had some fresh squeezed juice, strawberry and mango. It was so good I went back for another, kiwi this time. Only 1 euro, too! They have everything. Fresh vegetables, cheeses, fruits, meats, seafood, olives, spices.... So cool. The rents and I looked for this place to go have lunch the other day and couldn't find it, we walked right by though. It is half way down the strip (Las Ramblas).
Sitting down for my first Paella, at a Cafe near Place de Cataluna (center of the city). Cool place, been here since 1939, so I'm sure it's good. A little pricey, but overall this city is so much cheaper than Paris. My juice was only 1 euro, would've been 5 in France.
WE LOVED that juice bar at the market - Las Ramblas is so interesting... and that market is awesome - the grocery store on Las Ramblas is pretty cool with its escalator - downstairs is the produce...You NEED to go back to the market at some point and have one of the crepes from "The Crepe Man" - they are REALLY good - and that eat at the bar place in the market is also Awesome!!! You are in the part of the city that I adored.. so much activity and things to see... Have a great night tonight - hope you got your rest because they party LATE on the weekends.. dinner usually isn't til 10 or so and there are people all over las ramblas until the wee hours and I mean late - like 2 or 3 or later.. lol - have fun!!!
